Rocket Man was one of my favourites. The only reason I didn't cover it here was that I was trying to concentrate on superheroes on tv ... I will do a blog entry on all my favourite serials at some point down the line ... but in the meantime I'll add your info to the list - so far no one can reliably report they saw Adventures of Superman on television in the UK in the 1960s.AirPiratePresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13136561512898563240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8419605150672201683.post-57721631637806723882014-07-31T22:47:31.911-07:002014-07-31T22:47:31.911-07:00I sent your articles links to all my contacts and ...I sent your articles links to all my contacts and they all adore it including me. Ultimate Reading Order
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06742783025169751669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8419605150672201683.post-74396144947820956222014-07-30T17:38:26.584-07:002014-07-30T17:38:26.584-07:00Oh, meant to say - I loved King of the Rocket Men ...Oh, meant to say - I loved King of the Rocket Men when it was on TV in the early '80s. I don't think My favourite Martian was ever shown in Scotland - I've never spoken to anyone that remembers it from TV. I wasn't aware it was a TV show when I read it in TV21, despite the photo logo (I think) they used. Regarding George Reeves' Superman show, I never saw it on TV in Scotland, but I seem to remember John Byrne saying he saw an episode when he was a kid in Britain, before emigrating to Canada (although I may be wrong there). I used to enjoy the Doc Savage books, but I cringed at the Ron Ely movie. I wonder why they made it so camp, because it was well out of date in the '70s.
